Bookshelves - never enough!!

Peter S over at KyusiReader has honored me by featuring Tutu's library as #10 in his Bookshelf Project.  Please visit his blog not necessarily to check out my shelves, but to read his often insightful take on books and reading. Here's a shot from the opposite side so you can see, it's not as un-messy as it looks in the shots Peter has. Remember dull women have immaculate desks/houses/libraries!!!

Thanks Peter...it's a great feature.

  1. Enough! Those shelves are becoming an 'occasion of sin' for me...envy. ;-)

and what is most amazing for me, about them, is that I spy empty ones. I don't think I have ever seen an empty book shelf in my wee house. Now maybe if I had a room of them....

  6. Boy...I hate that you can't edit comments...have to delete and restart...Yes...those are cabinets...this room has to double as my office (I actually have a consulting database job that I do via telecommute) and it has to hide my other hobbies..so the let and middle cabinets are full of scrapbooking and needlework stuff, and the one on the right is full of twenty boxes of family photos...

Caite...those empty shelves are 'on hold' for the 65 cartons of books still in the attic! LOL

  7. Hello, Tina! These are so lovely to look at! And my eyes kept going back to that wooden cabinet. Is it an antique?

  8. So jealous of all of those shelves! I love shelves that wrap around the doorway.

  9. Peter...the wooden cabinet (I'm assuming you mean the one seen thru the doors, is an antique elm tansu we got in Korea many many years ago. Hubbie seems to think it's a book shelf (sigh...) because it's usually piled high with the books he's got out from various libraries in the area, or books he's just brought down from the attic to 'do something with.' LOL

  10. I love your office and shelves. My husband built two walls of shelves for me years ago and said, "You'll never fill these." The words were hardly out of his mouth before, well you know. :) My office looks like it rained books, and magazines, and paper, and pictures of steamboats.

  11. I love how they just take over the entire wall...who need to paint, just put shelves up!!! Now if I could just talk my boyfriend into doing something like that for me.
